Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground ham
  • 1 lb, ground pork (not sausage)
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup cracker crumbs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed (for basting sauce)
  • 1/2 cup water (for basting sauce)
  • 1/3 cup cider vinegar (for basting sauce)
  • 1 tsp. dried mustard (for basting sauce)

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 350°. Mix ham and pork. Add eggs, crackers, milk and pepper. Mix and form 8 meatballs. Place in baking dish. In a saucepan, bring basting sauce ingredients to a boil. Baste meat with ½ sauce and bake for 30 minutes. Turn the ham balls and pour remaining sauce over top. Continue baking for 1 hour. Yields 4 servings.
