Garlic Green Beans

  • 2 lbs. fresh or frozen green beans, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbls. olive oil or vegetable oil


  1. Place beans in a saucepan and cover with water; bring to a boil. Cook, uncovered, for 8 to 10 minutes or until crisp-tender. Meanwhile in a skillet, sauté onion and garlic in oil until tender. Drain beans; add to onion mixture. Cook and stir for 2 to 3 minutes or until heated through. Yields 6 servings.
